To all those lucky ones who have stumbled upon this magnificent blog of mine, I extend my heartiest greetings and commend your luck that in the whole of the Ethernet, you are here instead of surfing crap or visiting some other useless site.
Okay, my manners return to me and now I introduce myself to you all. Am Pankaj Gupta, you can call me Panks and when you get to know me really well, I’ll let you call me Punks.
I am based in Delhi, India and I owe my professional existence to the beautiful phenomenon called the Internet. If it wasn’t for the net, I’d be selling soap in my dad’s shop. It was a muggy June day in 2005 that I first thought about making some money from the net, just enough to pay for my vices.
My first income through the net was $5; slowly I built contacts and developed my skills in SEO and today I am better off working on the net than I would be doing anything else that a BCom graduate in India can do.
I own a couple of 100 sites on a range of subjects including Travel and Health are my favorite subject. My own life story reads like it is straight out of a Bollywood story. This includes courting success through hard work (like the hero), no villains (this is not a masala flick), getting the heroine (yeah, that’s the love angle), and a beautiful daughter, Mannat.
Yeah, reads like a perfect script but then that’s what it’s been. I have been lucky to work with some great guys like Andy Hagans who has guided and helped me. When I give into the impulse to think, I usually don’t, I often wonder about the extent of popularity and success that sites like Google, MSN, and Yahoo have achieved. Where would these be without the Internet and where would I be without Google search.
I salute these sites, I salute the Internet… I am doing my bit to give back to society through the net, I support UgandaCan. While you’re here take a look around and do come back when you can. Leave your thoughts on anything you wish to.
